Selection Criteria

Camperships are awarded primarily based on need. The more information provided to the scholarship committee regarding the scout’s particular need, the better. The committee will also consider other factors including the scout’s participation in popcorn and scouting adventure card sales, the scout’s unit’s ability to provide assistance, and the scout’s family’s willingness to volunteer with Scouting. Camperships awarded will not exceed 50% of the registration fee. Families that wish to apply for camperships for multiple scouts should complete a separate application for each scout.

All requests must be submitted by midnight on April 1, 2022 through the online portal below. Applications received after April 1st will be considered only if funds remain after a review of all on-time applications.

Selection Timeline:

  • February 1, 2024: All applications must be submitted by midnight

  • February 15, 2024: All applicants will be notified of campership received or rejection of request

  • By March 15, 2024: All campership funds distributed to Council hosting camp

All requests will be reviewed by a volunteer campership allocation committee. Family financial information and campership award amounts will be treated as confidential and will not be shared outside of the campership committee.
