A new forum has been created for the Palmetto Council Climbing Committee. The following message has just been posted to that forum. Welcome to the new climbing committee forum. The climbing committee was formed to provide a fun and safe climbing program to all units in the Palmetto Council. While the committee is relatively new and has many things that still need to be put in place we have made progress in a couple of areas.
1. We will be offering the climbing merit badge for summer camp and Camp Bob Hardin this summer.
2. We have purchased climbing equipment to run climbing events
I would like to find out who in the council is already certified as a BSA Climbing Instructor. I also want to compile a list of leaders who would like to attend climbing certification training the weekend of 10/17/08.
